Option A: Using Windows Virtual Machines running on the same computer (emulating multiple PCs on same PC), each Virtual machine has an assigned separate Network Card for instrument and a shared Network Card for the Internet. Each Virtual Machine will need to have all of the user rights and policies installed, each virtual machine will be dedicated to single Waters instrument. All of the virtual machines can be identical copies that can be easily cloned from the master virtual machine. Files, project configurations and reports would be stored in file server, not on local machine. a
Option B: Separate Windows computer by each Waters Data acqustion node. Each Physical Machine will need to have all of the user rights and policies installed, each Physical machine will be dedicated to single Waters instrument. All Physical machines can be identical copies that can be easily cloned from the master virtual machine. Files, project configurations, and reports would be stored in file server, not on local machine.
Option C: Need to have access to Waters datasystem with 2+ Empower instruments, not Data Acqusition node itself, but operator PC. Waters does not have documentation, but there must be a way to connect to instrument using Waters Drivers using Acquity central control nodes through network. This option is not implemented yet and we have no place to test it.
